Bahamas Cruise

Day 107 (5/22) – North Palm Beach

Hopefully this will be our last weather hold day for at least the next two. The wind and rain continued throughout the afternoon without abating as forecast, so we will go with a Wednesday departure at first light.  The goal  is to reach Vero Beach, overnight there, and then get an early start on Thursday and reach Titusville in the late afternoon.

No sun is visible, but at least these are brighter looking clouds than what we’ve been having. We’re still expecting to have rain tomorrow and Thursday, but there shouldn’t be much accompanying thunder or high wind.

Today was spent readying C Ghost for travel (she’s all set to go in the featured picture). This included adjusting her weight distribution a bit, doing some investigative maintenance, and topping up our provisions with a quick trip to Publix. Paula put two easy-to-heat-and-serve vacuum-sealed dinners into the fridge from the freezer and made sure we had side dishes ready to just warm and serve for the next two nights. She prepared fruit for easy snacking, and packed cold drinks and made lunch meat wraps in foil to be plucked easily from the fridge as needed.

There was time for a quick lunch out at Duffy’s Sports Bar before the grocery store, and a chess game (Paula lost again.)

We’ll turn in early, have quick breakfast and coffee in the morning and (hopefully) go.
