Cross Country Drives

Elk City, Oklahoma

Not much to report today. It was generally a straight, flat drive across the top of Texas through massive wind turbine farms that now dominate the landscape there. We passed the time by listening to the rest of an audio book about the detailed history of how the civil war started at Fort Sumter.

Lunch was at an interesting little Texas diner in the middle of nowhere that served us schnitzel burgers and fries. Today was a longer distance than we usually travel, and that combined with crossing another time zone and losing an hour got us to our destination without any time or energy left for touring.

Should be a shorter day tomorrow with some new pictures.
