Today’s weather was sunny and a little cool – fine conditions for a 9:00 a.m. start on our first day. Our marina friends came out to see us off which was both bittersweet and much appreciated. We had planned a short hop as this was C Ghost’s first big outing in some time. We were happy to find all systems worked well. We had one bascule bridge opening with a very cooperative and youthful-sounding bridge tender. There were lots of eagles, osprey, white and brown pelicans, and dolphins everywhere. We arrived at the Marina at Hammock Beach just before 1 p.m. and got a starboard side tie that will make for an easy exit in the morning. This marina has an association with a nearby big resort, which we walked all around this afternoon. Very beautiful surroundings, beach, golf course, gardens and fountains. Our plan for tomorrow is to get well beyond Daytona Beach and anchor out overnight.

And you are underway!!! Interested in knowing what the resort name is. So excited for you both and for CGhost
K – the place is called Hammock Beach Resort. It’s super nice. A bit pricey, but all the other marinas near here were booked for tonight and this place had a spot for us.
So glad your 1st day was such a positive & enjoyable experience! ? So much more to look forward to as we all enjoy following your journey to the Bahamas! ?
Have fun!!!
