Bahamas Cruise

Our Next Big Cruise!

Tomorrow we embark on our next big cruise. The plan is to continue down the ICW from Saint Augustine in short one-day trips until we reach Lake Worth inlet (just north of Palm Beach). From there our intent is to go out the inlet, sail down the Florida coast, and come back in at Ft. Lauderdale and stay there for a day or two. Next, we will go back out in the ocean and continue south to Biscayne Bay (just below Miami). There we will wait for a weather window favorable for crossing over to Bimini, our first stop in the Bahamas.

As we did with our 2016 ICW cruise from Maryland, we will try to post each day to this blog site as we go, at least while we are still in Florida. We hope to post from the Bahamas as well, but will have to wait and see how our Internet access method(s) work once we get there. It’s been a very busy past few weeks doing all the provisioning  and boat prep (the featured picture is of our full fridge/freezer). We are anxious to go.

You should be able to see an embedded map like the one below in each blog post, showing our track and present location. This map will appear at the bottom of the blog home page also. If you can’t see the map, follow this link.

  1. God Bless! I have worked your ports of call in south Florida and a little up the coast. Make sure you enjoy the Cuban coffee in Miami and the great Jewish delis in Biscayne Bay. Have breakfast on one of the restaurant porches in South Miami. In Fort Lauderdale enjoy the great fish. Looking forward to the pics.

  2. This is sooo cool! Lilo and I would love to meet you but we talked about it and decided that international flight might not be so fun for Lilo. So we’ll track you guys from here!!! Bob voyage and smooth sailing!!
